Why Get Involved?

Why should you get involved? UVic AERO competes in the AEAC national annual UAS Student competition each year, with a focus on developing lifesaving technology, specifically in the field of autonomous wild firefighting. As a non profit student club, community donations and sponsors allow our club to survive. In fact, your generosity is the sole reason we are able to provide experience in the aeronautical field to students and community members alike. We hold community involvement paramount, it is mission to give back to the community what the community gave to us. We acknowledge what a privilege it is to have the opportunity that we’ve been provided, and we use this privilege and recognition to inspire students, the youth, and even our patrons. Success is not seen as optional, it is necessary for us to give back to those who helped us along the way. We can not thank those who allowed for our sitution to be possible
